“Getting it Done”

It has only been three days in the New Year and I am already enjoying reading the devotional “Uncommon Life” by Tony Dungy. There are seven themes that are repeated throughout the book. The themes are: core, family, friends, potential, mission, influence, and Faith. Today focused on friendship and how important it to be a role model to others just as Christ is the perfect role model for us.

Aaron Maurer is a colleague of mine and has become a role model in my life. He is actually the person who recommended the devotional to me. Not only is Aaron a tremendous teacher, but he is an outstanding athlete, father, husband, and friend. Aaron is one of the teachers (Crazies) I run with in the morning before school. He has encouraged me to push myself to new levels with running. Check out the amazing things he is accomplishing on his blog….He truly lives the Uncommon Life and a Life for Christ.

  1. Thanks for the mention. I appreciate your kind words. They mean a lot to me. Don’t forget to give yourself some credit for the path I am down as your training and upbeat approach to life is what helped me get through my early stages of training last year for my marathon. I would not be at my current place in training(still have a long way to go) if it was not for great people like yourself.
